Protecting Scaffolders as they work at height

Scaffolders working at height must be protected from falls from height, whatever the fall distance and be confident in the rescue provision in place should a fall occur.

1 - Wrappa Anchor slings     for secure connection to "standards"

2 - SP140 Twin leg Lanyards  Safely traverse between anchorage points

3 - DSL-3 Hybrid lanyards  Short arrest distance where clearance height is limited

4 - Gotcha 2 Rescue Kit   Recovery of suspended worker after a fall

Lifting equipment safely into position

Avoiding dropped objects, a constant hazard on site is imperative.

6 - Safe Lifting Kit Controlled lifting/lowering of materials onto the scaffold

7 - Tool Tethers Reduce dropped objects

8 - Grabba Bag  Lifting of loose fittings

Scaffolding Industry

Load safety is road safety

When transporting scaffold equipment to and from site, poorly secured loads pose a serious risk to the driver, other road users and the public.

9 - Rachet Lashings Scaffold poles and boards must be safely secured and restrained.

10. Containment Nets  Smaller fittings must be contained to avoid 'bouncing' loose.

SpanSet - supplying the Scaffolding Industry.

The scaffolding sector is a harsh environment for both workers and their equipment.

Scaffolders deserve equipment specifically designed for the unique and complex work scaffold erection and dismantling is.  Equipment should be tough and of a quality built to last, plus of course traceable, making inspection and remaining compliant straightforward.

SpanSet understand the above and offer a wide range of products, training and inspection services to the scaffolding industry.

HEIGHT SAFETY EQUIPMENT FOR SCAFFOLDERS

SpanSet design and manufacture a wide range of height safety equipment specifically designed for scaffolders at our factory based in Middlewich, Cheshire.

SAFE LIFTING ON SITE

For the modern scaffolder, worker safety is of the highest priority.  Dropped objects when lifting equipment on scaffolding is a serious hazard and measures should be put in place to avoid the risk of items hitting workers below the lift.  The use of ‘gin wheels’ for example should be consigned to history.

LOAD SAFETY IS ROAD SAFETY

When transporting scaffold equipment to and from site, poorly secured loads pose a serious risk to the driver, other road users and the public.

Scaffold poles and boards must be safely secured and restrained so they cannot move during the journey. SpanSet supply a wide range of both traditional (push up) and premium ergo (pull down) ratchets - all manufactured by us, here in the UK to BSEN 12195.  Indeed, SpanSet invented the original ratchet lashing, commonly referred to as 'spansets' on construction sites.

Scaffold fittings and other smaller items must be contained to avoid them 'bouncing' loose should the lorry hit a pothole etc.  SpanSet design, manufacture and supply a range of rated containment nets produced to EN1263-1 to fit securely over stillages and prevent this problem.

Training
