Main aspects when configuring a davit arm

  1.   Portable System or Fixed Base?

  • Portable - Versatile for flat surfaces where equipment can be supported, and where access is not common.
  • Fixed Base - For recurrent use, multiple bases available, for all types of environments or spaces.

  2.   Required arm reach and Heigth

Consider the necessary space between the anchorage of the arm and the place where the worker will be secured, taking into account if there is a handrail or obstacles that require a longer reach. These are the standard lengths:

  • 385mm, 450mm and 601mm
  • 775mm, 915mm and 1219mm
  • 1524 to 2438mm.

  3.  Retractable system / Winch and its anchorage Bracket
