HAS abseil rescue devices are used for fall protection of persons on high workplaces, where a rescue of persons by other employees is not possible or an escape rescue (danger due to fire or deflagration) of persons is necessary e.g. during loading activities on tank or tank wagons, or work platform, if the rescue route downwards is free of obstacles.

During the working movement, the person can move freely in the pull-in and pull-out area of the device without working against a braking resistance. Thus, no wear is generated on the brake.

In the event of a fall, pawls engage in the gearbox, which is connected to the centrifugal brake. Now the person is safely roped down. In the event of danger, the person can escape from the danger zone by jumping into the device and is safely rappelled down.

The snap hook with fall indicator on the lanyard of the device shows the user whether the device has been loaded by a fall and must be checked.
