Temporary ladders remain a common solution for short-duration tasks such as inspections, maintenance, and installation. But their convenience often comes with risk. ClipStile mitigates these hazards by improving ladder stability, enabling secure climbing, and ensuring safe material handling - bringing peace of mind to both workers and employers.

Stability
Ladder Stability Strap -
- Ensures the ladder is firmly anchored prior to climbing
- Cannot be over tensioned, preventing damage to the ladder
Safe Climbing
A worker can safely climb a temporary ladder, if they maintain three points of contact (LA455 guidance). Temporary ladders are not suitable anchorages for Fall arrest.
ClipStile ensures three points of contact can be maintained at all times. Risks are only introduced where the worker does not maintain three points of contact, e.g. if distracted by carrying equipment.
- ClipStile is installed / removed safely at ground level – The ClipStile Ladder Choker lanyard is quick to install around the stiles prior to raising the ladder.
- Workers should never carry tools etc in their hands when climbing a ladder. ClipStile’s safe lifting system allows workers to haul their equipment up/down the ladder prior to climbing.
- Workers can focus on climbing the ladder unencumbered by tools and materials.
- Ladder is completely clear of trip hazards.
- Simple to use - just climb and clip!
Safe Working
After climbing into position, the worker clips one point to the left side of their waistbelt and one point to the right. They now have dual work positioning points
- ClipStile therefore ensures 4 points of contact when working – the feet and the two attachment points.
- This innovative design provides safety and stability when working with both hands.
- Prevents overreaching - Keeps the worker within the safe working area of the ladder.
- Waist level attachment provides for an uncluttered working area.

Safe Materials Handling
- The only ladder safety system available which addresses the risks associated with the handling of tools and materials. This allows the worker to maintain three points of contact when climbing - they don’t need to carry anything in their hands as they climb and can also avoid dropped objects.
- Load/unload the lifting bag at ground level.
- Haul/lower tools and materials from ground level.
- Tools and equipment are positioned conveniently to access from the lifting bag.

- ClipStile is a Fall Prevention system with fixed dual Work Position Points
- A work position system rather than fall arrest - higher up the hierarchy
- ClipStile Work Position points avoid overloading the ladder by preventing falls.
- Forces are applied tot he stiles, the strongest part of the ladder rather than the rungs, the weaker part of the ladder
- ClipStile does not slide form side to side along the rung as attachement of the ladder choker is to the stiles

- Basic kit only requires a waistbelt for less restrictive working.
- Premium kit has a Full body harness that incorporates the waistbelt for those who also work in Mewp’s for example.
