Product HeadlineTwo-part 50 mm lashing strap, with ERGO ABS ratchet, LC 2'500 / 5'000 daN
Product description long 1

Our Ergo ABS ratchet offers you everything you expect from a premium lashing strap. Equipped with the unique TFI pretensioning indicator as standard, you can demonstrably achieve a pretensioning force of 750 daN. Thanks to the ABS (Anti-Belt-Slip) system, you can release the ratchet in stages and thus release the high pretensioning force in small steps. The robust Ergo ABS ratchet is epoxy resin coated and thus additionally protected against rust formation.

Extended ratchet lever

The extended lever not only means that higher pre- tensioning forces can be achieved, but it also but also makes lashing much easier. High pre-tensioning forces can be achieved with considerably less muscle power. Especially the pull ratchets with a long lever in particular are more back-friendly and meet ergonomic requirements better.

Double slider

The double slider also secures in the intermediate stage when tensioning the lashing strap. The two sliders engage the sprocket alternately and in smaller steps than ratchets with only one slider. This gives you more tensioning force and save your muscle power.

Reinforced selvedges

Compared to conventional straps, Spanset® lashing straps with the reinforced selvedge are much less sensitive to wear and abrasion. The straps can therefore be used for longer. This saves you time and money.

Self locking ratchet lever

For maximum safety when lashing, Spanset® has developed the self-locking ratchet lever. When lashing, pull the integrated functional slider. When the ratchet is closed, the ratchet, automatically engages in the locking position. An unintentional opening of the ratchet while driving is effectively ruled out - even in the event of strong vibrations and jolting movements.

Epoxy resin coating

We attach great importance to quality in every single part. The ratchets are first galvanised, then chromated and coated with an impact-resistant epoxy resin coating. The ratchet is thus additionally protected against rust formation.

Robust protective hose label
In addition to the tear-proof finish of the fabric insert, a robust protects the label permanently from abrasion and dirt. The protective sleeve label is a great advantage because lashing straps with a missing or illegible label may not be used.

Back-friendly tensioning

The extended lever of the Ergo ABS ratchets makes lashing much easier. You can even achieve high pre-tensioning forces with considerably less muscle power. Because you always pull ratchets down instead of pushing them up, they are already more back-friendly. With the extra long lever, they meet ergonomic demands even more. In addition, a patented double slider secures when tensioning even in the intermediate stage, i.e. with the "half tooth". This allows you to achieve more clamping force in small steps - and that is easy on your muscle strength.

Tension Force Indicator

With the TFI, you can measure the pretensioning forces introduced into the lashing system during tie-down lashing and use them and include them in the calculation of the load securing.

Precision webbing

Another great advantage is offered by our wear-resistant precision webbing with cord edge. The yellow precision webbing with less than 4% elongation is more efficient because the lashing straps need to be retightened less frequently. By the way, with all other Spanset® quality lashing straps, the strap elongation is less than 7%. Inferior lashing straps cannot keep up with this.

Double Slider

The double slider even secures in the intermediate stage when tensioning the webbing. Two sliders engage in an existing sprocket in "smaller steps". This helps you to achieve greater tension while preserving your physical strength.

Tension Force Indicator

Tension Force Indicator

Indicator to show the actual pre-tensioning force achieved

Tension Force Indicator

With the TFI you can read off the pre-tensioning forces achieved in the lashing system when tying down loads and use this information in load control calculations. There are three variants of the TFI available, with 500 (green), 750 (red) and 1,000 daN (yellow). The use of a TFI at the adjustable and fixed end is particulary effective, as it can display a pre-tensioning force of 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000 daN. Consequently, less lashing equipment is required for load control, which accelarates loading and unloading and offers major economic advantages.

Allows pre-tension to be released in small stages

"Anti-Belt-Slip" procedure

The ratchet is opened, the tension is released suddenly and the load is no longer under control: anybody who has ever experienced this situation knows how important ABS is. The ABS system was developed for loads at risk of tipping over and allows the user to release the pre-tension in small stages. This allows you to position loads that are at risk of tipping over and lean against the strap in an upright position. This helps to prevent damage and accidents. The lashing system can also be opened fully straight away, so that no time is lost when transporting steady loads.

Self-locking ratchet lever

For maximum security during lashing operations we developed the self-locking ratchet lever. When lashing, the integrated functional slider is pulled down. When the ratchet is closed, it automatically locks into place in the lock position. Uninetnional opening of the ratchet during transportation is thus effectively ruled out - eben when the load is exposed to strong vibrations and shaking.

In addition to the tear-resistant design with a fabric lining, a robust plastic sleeve perfectly protects the writing from abrasion and dirt. The webbing insert, equipped as standard, also prolongs the service life.

We place maximum value on quality in each individual element. The ratchets are first zinc-plated, then chrome-plated and coated with a shock-resistant epoxy resin coat which additionally protects the ratchets from e.g. rust.
