All new Thiele lifting components are developed with a patented design. This updated design gives the Thiele brand a distinctive and recognizable appearance. Our experience with other products on the market shows that the promised product properties are often not consistently upheld. Standards are frequently referenced but rarely fully met. Heat Treatment:
A process-controlled heat treatment determines the final product properties. Our ultra-modern, fully automated heat treatment facility ensures that the final product meets the highest mechanical requirements.

1935
Innovation in Steel
In 1935, August Thiele founded the company. With just 8 employees welding chains over a forge fire, the foundation was laid. The introduction of automatic bending and welding machines soon made the heavy work significantly easier.
1950
Mining Chains in Innovation
In the 1950s, THIELE began producing mining chains. The stainless steel grade 23 MnNiMoCr 54, developed and tested by THIELE, has since become the standard for high-performance chains. The chains themselves, ranging from 22 mm to 48 mm in diameter, were also designed in-house by THIELE.
1960
Expansion in the ’60s
By the end of the 1960s, the product range was expanded through the acquisition of Schlieper for heavy anchor chains and the addition of snow chain production (Nordland).
