Gantry Cranes

Engineered for safe and controlled lifting

Gantry Cranes Systems

Gantry cranes are versatile lifting systems designed for handling loads in areas where overhead crane runways are not available or practical. Unlike overhead cranes, gantry cranes are supported by legs that travel on the floor or rails, allowing them to operate independently of building structures. This makes them ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications where flexibility and mobility are required. Used across manufacturing, warehousing, assembly, and maintenance operations, gantry cranes provide reliable lifting and precise load positioning while optimizing workspace layout and material flow.

Key Benefits of Gantry Cranes

  • Independent structure – no need for building-mounted runways
  • Flexible installation – suitable for temporary or permanent use
  • Indoor and outdoor capability
  • Efficient load positioning over a defined work area
  • Scalable design to match different load capacities and spans

When to Use a Gantry Crane

A SpanSet-Uniman gantry crane is the ideal solution when lifting operations are required in areas where fixed overhead crane systems are not available, practical, or cost-effective. Because gantry cranes are self-supporting, they can be installed without structural modifications to the building, making them suitable for facilities with limited load-bearing capacity or restricted ceiling height.

Gantry cranes are particularly well suited for applications that require flexibility or mobility, such as temporary workstations, changing production layouts, or outdoor handling areas. They are also an effective choice when loads need to be lifted and positioned over a defined area while maintaining open floor space and clear access for personnel and equipment.

Why Choose SpanSet-Uniman Gantry Cranes

SpanSet-Uniman combines proven engineering expertise with practical industrial experience to deliver gantry crane solutions that meet real operational needs. Built to exacting standards and configured to individual requirements, these systems provide dependable lifting performance, improved workplace efficiency, and long-term reliability.

What Is a Gantry Crane?

A gantry crane consists of a horizontal beam supported by one or two vertical legs, with a hoist or trolley mounted on the beam. The crane can move loads along the beam and, depending on the design, travel across the working area on wheels or rails. Gantry cranes are commonly used where permanent overhead crane installation is not possible or where temporary or relocatable lifting solutions are required.

Typical Applications
