What is a daN rating?

To break it down simply:
daN stands for decaNewton.
1 daN = 10 Newtons (N).
500 daN = 5000 Newtons.

In practical terms: 500daN is a force of about 500kg under Earth's gravity (because 1kg ≈ 9.81N, close enough for everyday use).

Important Information and Care
Hardware strength can be reduced if load path in arear of hardware is not in a straight line. Webbing should not be used if signs of burning, melting, cuts, fraying into the core fibres or alterations are present. Use corner pads to protect webbing from sharp edges. Hardware should not be used if any signs of damage, deformation or alterations are present. Inspect assembly before each use. Keep label away from heat, industrial cleaners, oils, grease & petroleum based products. This ratchet strap should not be used for lifting purposes.
