Meet Movement Scientist Annina Brunner
- At the Melbourne WHS Show
SpanSet is pleased to welcome Annina Brunner to our stand at the Workplace Health & Safety Show Brisbane on 21st-22nd May.
Annina completed her Master’s degree in Health Sciences and Technology at ETH Zurich, specialising in medical technology and human movement science. Her work focuses on understanding how the human body moves, how physical workload affects muscles and joints, and how wearable technologies can support workers performing physically demanding tasks.
Following her studies, Annina worked for several years as a movement scientist with Auxivo AG, contributing to the development, testing, and research of industrial exoskeletons. Her research has explored how wearable support systems can reduce muscle strain during lifting and overhead work while maintaining natural movement patterns—an important step toward preventing long-term musculoskeletal injuries in the workplace.
At the SpanSet stand, Annina will be available to discuss the science behind occupational exoskeletons, including how these technologies interact with the human body, how they are evaluated in research studies, and how they can be implemented safely and effectively in real workplaces. Whether your interest is in ergonomics, injury prevention, workplace trials, or the biomechanics of movement, she will be happy to answer your questions.
