Responding to customer demand:
Many of our customers are working to comply with ISO14001 to help improve their environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste.
This customer feedback together with SpanSet’s own wish to reduce our environmental impact has driven the design of a new range of packaging – the SpanSet Smart Bags!
The majority of our products, from lanyards and harnesses to rope lines will soon be delivered in these new bags replacing the traditional, single use cardboard boxes and plastic bags. Made from recycled polyester fabric, our Smart bags are the perfect way to store, transport and protect your equipment throughout its service life.

Through clever design, there is no increase in cost of upgrading our product packaging across our range, so don’t worry our Smart bags are not going to cost the earth!
This is the latest environmental initiative implemented by SpanSet. Previous changes have included ensuring manufacturing waste material such as webbing and steel fittings are recycled to replacing plastic drinking cups with reusable water bottles for all candidates at the SpanSet Training Centre.
There’s always more to be done and SpanSet are committed to further reducing our environmental impact.
