SpanSet Gotcha 2 Height Safety Rescue Kit

Manufactured from quality components with high safety factors is only part of it. We then protect our kits from the elements with Enviro Seals and add tough outer bags for durability. The bags are designed to be compact and easy for carrying to your work site.

To inspect, simply lift the Enviro bag out and you can see your kit.

The special “V” in the enviro bag means ripping it open is fast and easy.

3   Using the Gotcha 2 for Practice Rescues –
         Removing Rope Twists

When the Gotcha 2 is used for multiple practice rescues, twists can build up in the rope system. These must be removed before packing the kit away so it’s ready for the next use.

To remove minor twists:

  1. Hang the Gotcha 2 on a high anchor point.
  2. Clip the Grigri to your attachment point as you would during a rescue.
  3. Work the twists along the rope, feeding them towards the live rope attached to the Grigri.
  4. Continue until the twists move into the free end of the rope.
  5. For heavier use (training/practice kits):  Over time, more twists may accumulate. In this case, remove the entire length of rope from the bag and carefully work the twists out along its full length before repacking.
