Spanset welcome the NSS to our training facilty for a fun filled day!

On Wednesday 30th September The NSS (Nationwide Specialist Services) held their annual Rope Access Safety Day with our abseilers in the north at the SpanSet training facility in Middlewich Cheshire.

David Holden QSHE Director at NNS said,

ʺThe day started off with a meeting discussing safety, processes and procedures; sharing best practice and consulting on opportunities for improvement. All involved demonstrated excellent engagement with their colleagues, managers and the QHSE team.

Following this we headed out onto the Working at Height demo area to undertake a practical run through NSS Groups rescue and emergency procedures such as Snatch rescues, rope to rope and passing deviations, knots and more. Whilst we hope we never have to use these rescue manoeuvres at work, it gives the organisation and our customers the confidence that if an accident occurred on site; our Rope Access teams will be able to undertake a rescue safely and effectively.

A huge thank you to all those involved and our training partner SpanSet for allowing us to use their excellent facilities in Middlewich, Cheshire.ʺ

It was a pleasure having David and the NSS team here at our training facilities and it was very pleasing to hear it had been a successful day. Learn more about SpanSet training and our on-site training facilities which are located 2 minutes away from Junction 18 of the M6.
