Meet the Team

Dan Griffiths - Training Instructor

What name/nickname do you prefer to be called?

If you asked my work colleagues, I’m sure they would have plenty, however I just prefer a simple Dan.

If you could write your own job title that best describes what you do here, what would it be?

Training Instructor

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

With my work I really enjoy the fact it always keeps me busy and, in the outdoors, whether that be up a tower crane, on a roof or doing rescues off a structure - there’s always something different each week. It’s also great to be able to teach these different courses and meet new people while travelling all around the UK.

What are your hobbies?

In my spare time I am a big fan of my hikes, so enjoy climbing peaks all over the UK, and will be expanding out to doing mountains abroad as I am going to climb Mont Blanc this year.  I am also a big fan of my cars so enjoy going to some big car shows such as Goodwood festival of speed.

I have recently joined a caving club as I am interested in going to explore below ground as well as above.

What volunteering or passion projects do you do outside of work?

When my friends and I go hiking, we sometimes enjoy setting out challenging hikes and routes for us to try and raise money for charity when doing these.  Last year we completed the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for cancer research. We are also hoping to do the same this year with our trip abroad.
