IRATA LEVEL 1 - Rope Access Technician

PRE-COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Delegates must be 18 years and over.
  • All delegates must be able to certify they are physically fit and have no medical conditions that might prevent them working at height prior to commencement of training.  (A list of conditions that could affect practical training is available upon request.  If in doubt, call our team on 01606 738529 for advice prior to booking).
  • SpanSet reserves the right to exclude unsuitable delegates from training courses.
  • No previous experience is necessary however you should have an adequate level of of fitness and an aptitude for working at height.
OVERVIEW
  • This entry level course provides successful candidates with an internationally recognised qualification in Industrial Rope Access allowing you to work on a wide variety of structures in all types of industry sectors – from window cleaning on skyscrapers to cliff stabilisation or NDT on offshore installations.
  • Training will focus on the knowledge and skills required – the safe use of equipment, a wide range of rope access manoeuvres including simple rescue and basic legislation.
COURSE CONTENT
  • Basic rescue techniques
  • Basic rope access maneouvers
  • An understanding of RAMS
  • Fitting, function and inspection of personal equipment

(Trainees will initially carry out manoeuvers at low level but MORE importantly practice at height as they progress).
