The WebRail by SpanSet is a simple-to-use system designed to provide significant improvements to current work practices during loading, unloading, and rigging processes on heavy vehicles. The system is designed for easy installation and removal, ensuring safety without compromising operational efficiency.

Installation Instructions:

1. Secure Posts: Ensure all posts are fitted securely to the truck body.
2. Connect Cab End: Connect the double action hook to the anchorage point on the end post located at the cab end of the vehicle.
3. Thread Webbing: Fit the webbing through the intermediate posts, ensuring the webbing is not twisted.
4. Connect Rear End: Attach the other end of the assembly to the eyes located on the end post at the rear of the truck.
5. Tension System: Pull the webbing through the ratchet and ensure the Tension Force Indicator (TFI) is in the correct orientation. Tension the ratchet until the TFI indicates 250 daN of tension is applied.
6. Finalise: Stow any excess webbing securely.
7. Complete Set: Repeat this process for all WebRail straps required for the vehicle.

The WebRail system is engineered to address the specific challenges of fall protection on truck beds. It features SpanSet’s patented Tension Force Indicator (TFI), which is fitted as standard to provide added security against unintentional over-tensioning while ensuring optimum tension for effective fall restraint.

At the heart of the system is high-performance Kevlar® core webbing. This specialised core minimises stretch and deflection—achieving an elongation of ≤1% at 500kg—which provides a stable barrier that gives users a known and measurable force on the posts. The entire system is designed for versatility; it can be left in situ if desired or removed in minutes to facilitate unobstructed crane and forklift access. The kit comes complete with four straps featuring twisted double-action safety hooks, with spare parts and replacement straps readily available.
