Lightweight professional work positioning harness designed for industrial climbers in the electrical distribution and telecoms sectors.
- Ideal for work on pylons, masts and wooden poles, it provides secure hands-free support while allowing natural movement.
- The supportive belt features dense foam padding and a structural panel to prevent collapse during prolonged use, even in harsh environments.
- An adjustable belt allows waist or low “seat” positioning, while floating D-rings move with the user to reduce strain and improve comfort when leaning or rotating.

What is it?
Professional work positioning harness for engineers who work at height. Ideally suited to pylon and mast climbers who climb to their work position. A lightweight alternative to our Pole-Tech harness.

What can it be used for?
Accessing places where work positioning techniques are required to securely hold the worker in place on pylons, masts and wooden poles.

Who can use it?
Available in three sizes, designed for users of approximately 50 to 150kg.

How has it been tested?
Type tested and CE marked for Europe under the PPE Regulations to EN361 & EN358.
Additionally, the webbing has been UV tested to the requirements of Australia standard AS/NZS 1891.1:2020 and ANSI Abrasion.
The SpanSet manufacturing process is quality controlled and audited by the British Standards Institute to the international standard for quality management ISO9001.

What paperwork is supplied?
Multilingual Instructions with pictorial fitting guide
Individual Product History Card - This record card contains all the documentation required to maintain the product. The front forms your Declaration of Conformity and the table on the reverse can be completed for your inspection record.

What training is required?
Working at height carries significant risk, so it is vital that all users are properly trained in pre-use inspection, fitting, adjustment and correct use of their harness. As long as the harness fits correctly, it will safely support the user.
Although in itself this is a simple item to use, there are three stages that should be considered as part of the process as a whole. Training is available at the SpanSet training school in Middlewich or subject to suitability on a site of your choice, we cover -
Assessment and planning - Management of Work At Height
Use - Safety Harness Theory and Practical training.
Inspection and Maintenance - Competent Person Practical Inspection & Record Keeping.
All training for work at height is conducted in accordance with BS8454:2006 and is audited as part of our ISO9001:2008 quality management system.
