Would your IOSH branch benefit from a presentation by one of our Expert Team?

SpanSet recently delivered a popular Work at Height Rescue Planning webinar to the IOSH South Coast Branch.  Approx 100 members attended the informative and thought-provoking presentation by Liam Wright, Deputy Training Manager at SpanSet.

Here's how the successful seminar came about ....

Trevor Huskisson, committee member of IOSH South Coast Branch is always on the lookout for speakers to address their regular meetings. An article in June 2023’s IOSH magazine – ‘Why SpanSet developed the Gotcha Kit’ caught his eye.  Trevor thought it would make for a great presentation about Rescue Planning and got in touch with SpanSet - we were of course more than happy to help!

An online seminar, entitled ‘Rescuing Personnel at Height: Critical Factors of Consideration’ was scheduled for March 11th 2024.  The audience included Health & Safety Professionals from a wide range of industries including Construction, Maritime and the Ministry of Defence.

Liam is well practiced at delivering webinars as a number of our Training courses are instructor led, online courses.  Liam has a wealth of experience working at Height, having been an IRATA Rope Access L3 Supervisor and Instructor for many years.

You can watch the webinar below.  It is about an hour long, however if your role involves Rescue Planning for workers at Height, Liam’s presentation is informative, thought provoking and due to his confident style will keep you watching – indeed, Trevor noted how the audience remained with Liam to the end.

"On behalf of the IOSH South Cast Branch and myself I would like to express our thanks and appreciation for your interesting and informative presentation today.  This really put the issues surrounding the development of Rescue Plans for working at height into context.  Your wealth of knowledge and experience certainly came through, and I am sure answered many of the questions members had, as well as opening eyes to aspects that may not have been considered before. I am sure many will be using this as part of their CPD."
