SpanSet – responding to customer demand with additional online Training courses!

This is a problematic time for business – the risks and hazards of working at height remain whilst there is also the additional need to comply to social distancing guidelines.  Workforces still need to be trained to work safely at height and to be protected from Covid when doing so.

The SpanSet Training Department has learnt a lot over the past weeks about how to adapt and run Training courses safely within Government guidelines as we have remained open for business throughout this difficult time of social distancing and provided the Training support our customers require – for example with our popular online Safety Harness Theory Training course. 

We are now being asked for more by our customers and have of course responded.

There has been increased demand for a wider range of online training courses, especially from the Broadcast and Facilities Management industries. 

We have therefore taken the opportunity to review, update and modernise both our Management of Work at height Training and our Radio Frequency Awareness courses and implement online versions of both.  Case studies have been introduced where applicable, images, wording and diagrams updated and the assessment format improved for online use.

• Our online courses are LIVE with enthusiastic, fully qualified Instructors – Delegates are encouraged to ask questions and the courses are very much Instructor led.  No voice overs of a powerpoint at SpanSet!  
• Furloughed staff are allowed to train

Making the most of our Instructor’s skills!

One of our Instructors, Liam Wright has many years’ experience as a L3 IRATA Rope Access Supervisor having worked on a variety of sites throughout the UK.  He also has a wealth of Training knowledge having trained Rope Access candidates for many years before joining SpanSet in 2018.  Fortunately for SpanSet, Liam has a keen interest in audio and video technology and has been integral in implementing our online training courses, using his skills to help set up and produce our new courses.
