Meet The Team

Pete Schofield - Sales Manager

What name/nickname do you prefer to be called?

I have never had a nickname even through school, everyone just calls me Pete.

If you could write your own job title that best describes what you do here, what would it be?

My official title at SpanSet is Sales Manager, I think this title covers a wide variety of skills required in this type of business so “Sales Manager” fits well.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

I enjoy the variety in my work - every day is very different at SpanSet. Certainly, over the past 12 months there have been many changes in the business world due to covid.  It has been very important to adapt to a new way of working, for both SpanSet and customers. This has provided the Sales Team with plenty of new challenges and we hope that we've been able to help support our customers through this.

I also really enjoy coaching and motivating members of the Team.

What are your hobbies?

I have had many over the years, however as our 4 children have grown up and left home, I have really enjoyed walking, especially with our newly adopted dog. I also enjoy fairweather cycling as well as watching and following Roller Derby events as my eldest daughter took up this sport when she was 18.   Cooking and eating good food has been a long-term passion.

What volunteering or passion projects do you do outside of work?

I have volunteered a number of times to raise funds for Anthony Nolan, a UK charity working in the areas of leukaemia and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. A Trek to Machu Picchu to raise funds was a highlight.   I also enjoy and support many National Trust Events and projects
