Meet The Team

Lee Sparks - Training Instructor

What name/nickname do you prefer to be called?

Lee or Sparky

If you could write your own job title that best describes what you do here, what would it be?

I’m a Trainer here at SpanSet but we get ‘roped in’ to all sorts (pardon the pun!)

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

As a trainer, I get to meet lots of different people, doing lots of varied jobs all over the UK. I also get to see the world from places you would not usually get access to. This enables me to take some interesting pics from up high!

What are your hobbies?

As mentioned above, I have an interest in photography. I have an SLR camera at home, but it is so handy using modern smart phones, especially when climbing 80m tower cranes! I also have a love of outdoor activities, most of which have been put on the backburner due to having a young family. At the moment my main pastime is cycling but I do have hopes to drag the kids up some hills and mountains now they are getting a bit older.

What volunteering or passion projects do you do outside of work?

My partner is on the fundraising board for Ronald McDonald House at Alder Hey children’s Hospital so I help where I can. Also, during the 1st COVID-19 lockdown, I collected scrubs and wash bags made by our village sewing group and delivered them to our local hospital.
