Glanua are a partner of Construction Safety Month. Westport Equipment supply Glanua. As the main stockist of SpanSet Equipment and provider of our Height Safety Training in Ireland, Westport asked us to join them in supporting this important Safety Campaign.
We were of course delighted to do so. Chris James Technical Solutions Specialist and Simon Mitchell Technical Consultant visited several Glanua sites and ongoing projects in partnership with Liam Brew, Managing Director and Ruairi O’Neill, Senior Sales Manager at Westport Equipment, to deliver presentations on a range of safety issues. These included Systems and Solutions for rescue and recovery of workers whilst performing tasks in enclosed or confined spaces, using the Xtracta range.
Many different scenarios, relevant to Glanua were discussed – for example the most appropriate Fall Arrest Equipment to ascend/descend ladders and the safety of not only the casualty during a rescue but the rescuer too.
