It’s a question SpanSet is putting firmly under the spotlight at its upcoming Gotcha® Technical Event 2026, a focused industry event designed to challenge assumptions and spark new thinking around rescue planning.
Taking place at the SpanSet Training Centre in Middlewich, the event brings together a series of live, scenario-led demonstrations that reflect the realities of working at height—from scaffolds and rooftops to towers and confined spaces.
This is a practical, immersive experience built around one core idea:
Without rescue, there is no first aid at height.

While the Gotcha® range will feature throughout the day, the focus is not on equipment in isolation. Each scenario is designed to show how rescue actually unfolds—where time, decision-making, and casualty management all come under pressure.
Because in a real emergency, the question isn’t what kit do you have?
It’s how quickly can you use it—and what happens next?
From remote structures to restricted access environments, attendees will see how different rescue situations present very different challenges—and why a one-size approach simply doesn’t work.
The event puts particular emphasis on:
Highly visual, interactive, and grounded in real-world application, the Gotcha® Technical Event is designed to leave a lasting impression.
Not with product features—but with perspective.
Because the real takeaway isn’t what attendees see on the day.
It’s the question they take back with them:
If something happened tomorrow… would we be ready?
This is a limited, invitation-only event, created to ensure a focused and high-value experience.
